BarberNote is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or share your shop or customer data. All your appointments, customers, and cash records stay on your device — always.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
BarberNote does not collect any personally identifiable information about you or your customers. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account credentials
- Your customers' names, phone numbers, or notes
- Appointment, cash, or expense records
- Device identifiers or location data
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
2. Data Storage
All data you enter in BarberNote — appointments, customers, services, cash records, settings — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. No data is transmitted to our servers or any third-party servers.
BarberNote works fully offline. An internet connection is only used for one optional feature: in-app purchases for BarberNote Pro.
3. In-App Purchases
BarberNote offers an optional Pro subscription via Google Play. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play and RevenueCat, subject to their respective privacy policies. To manage your subscription, RevenueCat associates your purchase with an anonymous app user identifier — no payment details, name, or other personal information is ever shared with us.
4. Notifications
BarberNote may send local notifications to give you a weekly or monthly summary of your shop's activity (appointments completed, income, tips, expenses, and net profit). These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device — no data leaves your phone to make this work.
5. Backup & Export
The Backup & Export feature allows you to export your shop data as a JSON file. This export is initiated by you and shared via your device's native share sheet. We have no access to exported files.
6. Third-Party Services
BarberNote uses the following third-party services:
- RevenueCat — subscription management. Their privacy policy applies to purchase flows.
- Google Play — app distribution and payments.
We do not use any advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or tracking tools.
7. Children's Privacy
BarberNote is a business tool intended for use by barbershop owners and staff, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
